Sophia Elizabeth (Van Dyk) Bester is genealogies verbind aan Suid Afrika /is genealogically connected to South Africa

Sophia Elizabeth was born in 1813. She was the daughter of Joseph van Dijk and Sophia Alettha Potgieter.[1]

She married Johan Godliep Carel Welgemoed in Somerset East in 1832 at the age of 19.[2]

She married Jacobus Abraham Bester in Grahamstown in 1837 at the age of 23 after the death of her first husband.[3]

She died in 1856 on the farm of Jurg van Dyk in the district of Smithfield.[4]
